Amid West Asia crisis, Cabinet okays Rs 10,000 crore support for domestic airlines towards ATF pricing
The move is aimed at easing pressure on OMCs and shielding them from losses due to rising ATF prices.

The Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet on Tuesday recommended to Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha that the Autumn Session of the J&K Assembly be convened on 13 October.

The meeting was attended by members of the Council of Ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Ministers Sakina Itoo, Javed Ahmed Rana, Javid Ahmed Dar, and Satish Sharma. Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo was also present.

The Cabinet noted that since the last sitting of the previous session was held on 29 April, and with the rule stipulating that not more than six months should elapse between sessions, the next sitting must be convened by 28 October. Accordingly, the Cabinet recommended 13 October as the date for the commencement of the session.
During the meeting, the Cabinet also considered several agenda items related to public welfare, administrative efficiency, and developmental priorities across Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman said.
